I don't see anything wrong with the ideas behind Intelligent Design. I think it's perfectly valid. Further to that, let me add my theory of Intentional Grounding, which states that there is no such thing as gravity at all. It is merely the result of God pushing objects down to earth, which is where He intended them to be in the first place.
In the Discworld, which is the very incarnation of 'Funny Because It Is True', gods are created, given thier powers and attributes and sustained by the belief of people (/dwarves/trolls/rats), and when you die, you go where you truly believe you're going to go, all myffic things being understood as partially metaphorical or true for a given value of true. Therefore there is a flying spaghetti monster, and yes, boys, there is a beer volcano in heaven, representing the FSMists manifestation of that bit common to every religion: failure to be entirely careful what you wish for. And what can those of us philosophically minded draw as a conclusion from all this? Correct: Nice t-shirt!

If he intended them to be there in the first place, surely they'd stay there without needing to be pushed?
